I actually remember you guys when you were HVLS Fan Company. At the time, I never gave a second glance at your products. Browsing the net one day, I came across Big Ass Fans and realized that you had changed your name. What is amazing to me is that your name more than encompasses and describes your company. My reaction to your fans was ... "that is one big ass fan". I love your humor and visit your website from time to time to see what's new.
I don't do this with too many companies and certainly not for the entertainment value. I also have a Big Ass Fan bumper sticker on my van and unfortunately my company doesn't even have any of your products (I am working on it). Anyway, don't listen to the grumblers and whiners about the name. Your marketing strategy is genius and using the Fridge as a spokesperson is terrific. A big ass guy selling big ass fans. It's perfect. |

I love your fans and I presently have one installed and am in the process of installing a second one. The second fan is one of the Powerfoil designs. The fan solved a heat problem and also protected my hearing. How did it protect my hearing? Just by the sheer size of the fan when people saw it they knew they couldn't possibly be hot and they quit whining. Love your name too.

Recently one of your 5 x 7 post cards was placed on my desk ..... as you know a p.a not only receives his mail, but all mail that no one else in the company wants..... 99.9 % of the time I glance @ it and then file it in the round file, under my desk ..... but I noticed your company name and got a chuckle out of it ..... your marketing dept has to be congratulated ..... @ the present time we do not have a need for your product ..... but if we ever do, I won't have to search for your name in Thomas or on the Internet ..... it is embedded in my memory ..... Great Marketing !
I also checked out your Web Site ..... not only very informative .....but also funny !!!!! and lastly, I am a sports fan who collects autographs ..... As a Christian, I find your company's marketing practices typical and symptomatic of a modern American culture that is quite frankly circling the drain and spiralling downward. Jesus Christ said, "When the blind lead the blind, they both fall into the pit". Your supporters refer to all of us who are unimpressed with your company name and image as "idiots" who lack a sense of humor; so be it. To them, consider this: Judging by the negative emails received, isn't it ironic that the so-called "genius" who came up with this company name and image has literally COST this business thousands of dollars in sales? A MARKETING ploy that results in tangible LOST revenues is an act of "genius"? Please forgive this "idiot" for pointing out such a fundamental flaw in your plan.
